Visitors to BIKINI BERLIN this Christmas will be starry-eyed. For the eighth time, the concept shopping mall will spread festive cheer at its unique gift-wrapping station, which – like every year – will be created in collaboration with an artist: in 2024, it is Berlin artist Hannah Müller Hillebrand, known as “Mühi”, who is designing the event space on the ground floor and the exclusive BIKINI BERLIN gift-wrapping paper with her personal interpretation of the Christmas star.

 A central element of Mühi’s work is her depiction of female bodies. The Berliner-by-choice experiments with forms and proportions in order to – as she says herself – inspire people to embrace self-care, confidence and freedom. Her art also invites us to love ourselves and others – values that are especially important at Christmas. For BIKINI BERLIN, Mühi has created three designs featuring stars and shooting stars, a clear reference to the season of love and kindness. From 29 November, her work will be displayed as a combination of printed walls and oversized, three-dimensional artworks in the event space on the ground floor, transforming the concept shopping mall into an atmospheric sky full of stars that is sure to put all visitors in the Christmas mood.

Mühi’s three artworks will also adorn the exclusive BIKINI BERLIN wrapping paper, which, like every year, will be available for free so shoppers can lovingly wrap their gifts for friends and family. And for those who have two left hands when it comes to wrapping presents, the popular gift-wrapping station will be returning for Christmas 2024. Here every gift will be wrapped with love and attention to detail in Mühi’s specially designed paper.

Mühi’s designs can also be sent as Christmas cards from the Star Workshop: if you’d like to share the festive BIKINI BERLIN vibes with your loved ones, BIKINI BERLIN will cover the postage cost of your card (within Germany).

Both the installation and the gift-wrapping station will be open during the concept shopping mall’s regular opening hours (from Mondays to Saturdays, 10:00 am until 8:00 pm). The Star Workshop will also be open from Mondays to Saturdays, 10:00 am until 8:00 pm.

In addition to the regular opening hours, BIKINI BERLIN is also opening its doors for shopping, strolling, eating, drinking and making Christmas stars on its Sunday Shopping days on 8 and 22 December, from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm. On these two days, visitors will also have the opportunity to use the mall’s three photo booths for free and take fun souvenir photos that can be turned into gift tags.
