Sara Lily Perez Gallery presents Veronika Cherednychenko "Re:generation" - An exploration of memory, identity, and resilience

In the exhibition "Re:generation", Ukrainian artist Veronika Cherednychenko explores the space between personal identity and collective memory. She questions humanity's changing relationship with its environment and history. Cherednychenko's work is both a critique and a meditation on the tension between constructed spaces and natural landscapes, the recklessness of modernity, and the organic resilience of the natural world.

In her artistic practice, Cherednychenko draws on historical symbols and cultural myths. She challenges viewers to question their personal place within the continuum of time, cultural heritage, and transformation. "Re:generation" reflects post-Soviet identity and ecological change. The exhibition resists the commercialization of memories and instead offers art as a means of connection and introspection.

About the Artist

Born and raised in Ukraine, Cherednychenko creates striking art that reflects her deep connection to her cultural memory, her identity, and nature. In her works, Cherednychenko explores the boundaries between personal and collective history and mixes natural and industrial materials to reflect the resilience and evolving nature of human identity. Raised in a post-Soviet society, Veronika's work resonates with her experiences of migration, transformation, and the reassembly of fragmented memories. Cherednychenko studied Fine Arts in Kiev, specializing in installation and sculptural techniques that highlight themes of memory and environment.

Artist's Statement:

"My artistic practice explores the cycles of nature: organic forms, growth, transformation, and inevitable processes such as decay and death - universal experiences that all living beings share. My goal is to engage the subconscious, stimulate reflection, strengthen imagination, and invite contemplation of the future. In my projects, I combine various materials and techniques to create striking experiences for viewers. By blending traditional two-dimensional works such as drawings and paintings with moving images (video or VR) and sound, I create multisensory spaces that blur the boundaries between the outer world and inner reflection."
