Visitors to BIKINI BERLIN can look forward to new shop openings and new occupants in the BOXES: on 17 October outdoor label The North Face opened with a new store design and the Italian label HOX is now presenting its collection of winter and down jackets in a new pop-up store. And there will be another new addition at the end of October: Tailor & Tales, a platform for tailor-made menswear brands, is opening a store on the second floor, accessible via the rooftop terrace.
On 1 October the BIKINI BERLIN BOXES welcomed their new tenants. Eight new brands, including Wohlfahrt Schokolade, Taste & Stories, Florale Welten and Bugaboo, are now presenting their collections in the pop-up modules.
THE NORTH FACE
The North Face, established in 1966 in San Francisco, has moved into a 200 m² store on the ground floor. The world’s leading manufacturer of outdoor clothing has been presenting its range in the new store design at BIKINI BERLIN since 17 October. The North Face is synonymous with innovative, technologically advanced clothing, equipment and shoes.
On the evening of 23 October The North Face celebrated its new shop opening with numerous highlights including live performances by street art artists and a meet & greet with high-altitude climber David Göttler.
HOX POP-UP STORE
Visitors to BIKINI BERLIN will have noticed the new pop-up store by Italian company HOX, which opened at the end of August. Until the end of January 2015 the label for exclusive winter coats will be selling its ladies’ and men’s models on an area of 86 m² on the ground floor. Directly involved in the production of their designs, HOX closely monitors the creation process of its collections, thereby offering products of a high standard.
TAILOR & TALES
The philosophy of Tailor & Tales is as simple as it is effective: customers have their measurements taken offline by a stylist, after which they receive online access to tailor-made menswear by different premium brands. Tailor & Tales is opening its first innovative store in Berlin at the end of October on the second floor of the Concept Mall, on an area of 64 m². Style-conscious gentlemen can purchase tailor-made clothing in just three steps: after choosing their desired brand, with the help of a stylist they make choices regarding details such as collars, buttons and colours. Their measurements are then taken and their chosen garments are ordered online.
NEW BOXES TENANTS
There was a change to the tenants of the BIKINI BERLIN BOXES on 1 October. In addition to five new brands, Art Domino, Binauric and Makrönchen are moving back into the BIKINI BERLIN BOXES for the second time this year after a short break.
The Art Domino gallery, originally based in Berlin-Mitte, is presenting pictures of 40 national and international cities in 36 different colours. The pictures can be purchased directly at the gallery’s BIKINI BERLIN BOX, where customers also have the opportunity to create artworks themselves using a special configurator.
With its “Boom Boom” Bluetooth loudspeaker, Binauric is presenting an extraordinary technological highlight. The wireless speaker impresses with its high sound quality and unusual design. In addition to listening to music, it can also be used for phone calls, as well as for Skype and FaceTime.
Since it was established in 1999 the Dutch company Bugaboo has been renowned for its exceptional pushchairs, prams and travel systems. The designers Max Barenbrug and physician Eduard Zanen design every single model individually, with an emphasis on great design and functionality.
On Europe’s event and gastronomy scene Florale Welten is renowned for its fabulous presentations of flowers and design. In addition to beautiful floral creations, selected accessories from different continents and styles can also be found in the range on offer at BIKINI BERLIN.
LUIBAN offers a selection of high-quality stationery products like notebooks, photo albums, paper, cards, writing instruments and stamps. The lovingly compiled assortment comes from privately managed manufactories, mainly from Berlin and Germany.
Berlin-based “MAKRÖNCHEN Manufaktur” specialises in the production of handmade macaroons. The pastel-coloured sweet temptations are made fresh every day, using only the finest ingredients.
Taste & Stories is an online delicatessen. Focusing on just a few items that are purchased directly from the producers, they tell interesting stories about their products as well as on topics like nutrition and gourmet indulgence.
Wohlfahrt Schokolade is renowned for its edible handcraftsmanship. Founded in 2010, the Berlin-based chocolatier presents unusual creations like chocolate records and chocolate salami. Each sweet treat is made meticulously by hand using high-quality organic cocoa.
