New BIKINI BERLIN Boxes tenants

BIKINI BERLIN Presents New Pop-up Box tenants:

Pop Up Fashion – Ilumihaus – Well Well – Post Collective & Sygns – Nina Nolte – Chicano – Atelier Godole – Haze & Glory

BIKINI BERLIN is starting off 2016 by welcoming a host of exciting new pop-up box tenants from the worlds of fashion, modern art and interior design. Two former tenants will also be making a comeback and presenting their products in the concept shopping mall once again from February. And the gastro offer is being extended with the addition of Chicano, a new Mexican eatery concept.

Since December, Pop Up Fashion Berlin has been offering young designers and artists a location in which to showcase their products in a curated setting. At the beginning of February, Pop Up Fashion Berlin also moved into one of the BIKINI BERLIN Boxes where it will be presenting new, exciting designers until the end of the month.

Until the end of February Ilumihaus is offering customers an exclusive selection of lights and décor items made from onyx marble, a special type of limestone that is translucent and attracts attention with its iridescent, shimmering colours. Onyx marble, which comes from Mexico, is therefore the perfect material for atmospheric lamps, which give off a particularly pleasant, warm light.

The artistic focus of internationally renowned artist Christina Knobbe is on etchings, monotypes, monoprints and unique ink drawings. Knobbe and her artworks refuse to be categorised. In her work, the artist tells stories from different stages of life, always from her very personal perspective. Christina Knobbe’s artworks will be on show at BIKINI BERLIN until the end of February.

Two innovative Berlin start-ups will be sharing a pop-up box this February. Post Collective is a gallery for exclusive art by Europe’s leading Instagram photographers. The visuals are printed on the finest Hahnemühle paper. These high-quality art prints will be exhibited together with the popular neon designs by Sygns, the Berlin-based design and manufacturing company which offers creative neon lights and letters. Together with selected designers and artists, Sygns produces light objects both in series and limited editions. The designers and artists work closely alongside glassblowers to design these unique items.

Until 30th April, German artist Nina Nolte will be presenting her contemporary art at BIKINI BERLIN. Her LIMITED EDITION artworks will be available to purchase from a double pop-up box which will be home to a selection of high-quality reproductions of her works in the original format. Her art revolves around the themes of women and summer. Stylistically speaking, Nolte bases her work on the pop art of Andy Warhol. Her vibrantly coloured pictures have already featured in exhibitions in the USA, Latin America, Asia and Europe.

In mid-February the brains behind Funk You – Natural Foods will be opening a new Mexican gastronomy concept on the ground floor of BIKINI BERLIN. Chicano – real burritoswill be offering healthy, varied lunch menus. Chicanos is the name for Mexicans and their descendants who live in the United States. The burrito is an integral part of Mexican food culture. Diners at Chicano can watch their burritos being filled with fresh ingredients. They can also choose between gluten-free burritos and vegetarian variations. A real highlight is the different sauces you can choose from, which turn every burrito into a real taste sensation. The burrito concept is accompanied by Spirit Coffee: as well as coffee specialities they will also be offering ice lollies – which are known as “paletas” in Mexico. The restaurant offers seating for 60 people.

Following their success in 2015, the labels Atelier Godolé and Haze & Glory have returned to the BIKINI BERLIN concept shopping mall. Atelier Godolé offers couture jewellery from France. The designers use a wide variety of materials including beads, threads and precious gemstones. The label will be staying until the end of July. Haze & Glory was only founded in 2014 by three friends from Germany. The label has made it its mission to produce vintage-inspired premium fashion with exceptional tailoring at an affordable price, without exploiting workers in producing countries. Haze & Glory’s fair fashion will be on sale at BIKINI BERLIN until the end of April.
