GALERIE SLP PRESENTS: LIVING

22.10. 00:00 - 21.11.2026 23:59

OPENING RECEPTION: OCTOBER 22 2026 | 6–9 PM | FREE ENTRY

Galerie SLP is pleased to present LIVING, a duo exhibition featuring French-Martiniquais painter Thomas de la Rozière and German abstract painter Marika Thoms. Running from October 22 through November 21, 2026, the exhibition explores two symbiotic
strategies for vitality: the sanctuary of rooted ecological memory and kinetic abstract expression as psychological resilience.

For Thomas de la Rozière, living is deeply ancestral and bound to soil. Drawing on the tropical
topographies of Martinique and the architecture of the Jardin Créole, his oil paintings capture
memory, heritage, and organic sanctuary. In kinetic contrast, Marika Thoms approaches
existence as a vital sign, using raw poured pigments (Schüttbilder), charcoal, and neon accents across unprimed cotton to transform internal gravity into high-velocity light and atmosphere.
