In Christmas 2023, BIKINI BERLIN invited you to come together by candlelight at an installation consisting of 24 handmade ceramic candlestick holders made by artists and collectives from Berlin. The candlestick holders were given away in a competition in January 2024.
We are delighted that we were also able to rescue the materials from our installation in a sustainable way. Trash Galore ensures that reusable materials from events stay in circulation and that leftovers are turned back into raw materials. They then refer these materials to charitable initiatives, where they can be reused.
Thanks to the service provided by Trash Galore, we were able to rescue 138.01 kg of materials from waste disposal, prevent CO₂ emissions (254.65 kg CO2eq) and support two fantastic initiatives.
