Wool Week Berlin

Between the 20th and the 25th of October 2014 the Wool Week offers a variety of activities including workshops, exhibitions and events around the topic wool in the concept mall Bikini Berlin. Besides a Merino sheep flock will temporarely move in. Please find the complete programm HERE.

 

 

Our highlights:

 

 

• Model Franziska Knuppe visited our terrace on Monday, together with an entire herd of merino sheep. 

 

• And you can admire CASE STUDIES, a project on Merino wool, by the Berlin Weissensee School of Art graduates Laura Krauthausen and Konstantin Laschkow on our rooftop terrace all week long. An installation of knitted fabrics will be on show. 

 

• In their Bikini Berlin box Urbanara is offering high-quality woollen blankets at reduced prices. There is also an unusual competition, in which a ball of wool has to be found in Bikini Berlin every day.

 

• On show in front of our large panorama window on the ground floor of Bikini Berlin is a series of installations designed by the University of Art and Design Lausanne (ECAL), which will be on show all week.

 

• At the LNFA Store actress Wolke Hegenbarth is presenting her collection of knitwear ideas for you to knit yourself under the name “Wolke’s Style” to a large audience for the first time. 

 

• During the entire Wool Week ODEEH customers can enjoy a 10% discount on all woollen items and even a welcome drink on Friday.

 

• On Wednesday and Thursday the wool concept store ‘Knit Knit’ is holding free knitting workshops  from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm; beginners and more advanced knitters both welcome. 

 

• On Friday afternoon from 4:00 pm Andreas Murkudis will be welcoming customers on the Gallery floor with an afternoon tea and presenting the latest collection by British designer Margaret Howell. There will be a 10% discount off the whole range.
