From today, the exclusive BIKINI BERLIN Birthday Bag from the cooperation with William Fan is available to the concept shopping mall’s customers.
To celebrate the concept shopping mall’s fifth birthday, BIKINI BERLIN and designer William Fan have joined forces to create a limited-edition Birthday Bag inspired by the unique architecture of the listed Bikini building. Shoppers who spend a total of 150 euros at BIKINI BERLIN between 15 August and 10 September 2019 will receive their own limited-edition bag (as long as stocks last). For every 10 euros they spend, they will receive a stamp on their stamp card upon presentation of the receipt. At the large-format installation created especially for the presentation of the Birthday Bag, customers can redeem their full stamp card for the must-have designer item – in their preferred colour of either coral or blue. The eye-catching installation can be found in front of the panorama window in the centre of the concept shopping mall. An absolute highlight is the motorised overhead track on which the bags seem to be hovering through the atrium.
During Berlin Fashion Week in July, William Fan and BIKINI BERLIN presented his fashionable interpretation of the concept shopping mall on the catwalk, perfectly highlighting the harmonious interaction of fashion and architecture. The talented designer’s bag made its debut at the German capital’s Museum of Decorative Arts in front of 200 invited journalists and experts from the international fashion scene.
Based on the cube-shaped floor layout of the concept shopping mall, the Birthday Bag boasts an architectural design with an urban print. Thanks to the two vibrant colourways, the bag is a timeless it-piece for fashion fans of every age and gender. And there is just as much attention to detail inside the bag as in the architecture of the building. A sewn-in label provides information about what makes the iconic shopping mall so unique. Just like BIKINI BERLIN, the design of the Birthday Bag represents functionality, urbanity and dynamics. William Fan, who is all about contradictions, wanted to convey the vibe of the German capital with the Birthday Bag – in the same way that the concept shopping mall has impressively been doing for five years now.
