American Vintage: Redefining the basics


In search of an innovative concept, Michaël Azoulay was inspired by his trips to the USA and in 2005, he went on to establish a fashion line of T-shirts with a sportswear look. Ever since then, American Vintage has been concentrating on feminising basics to turn them into sophisticated must-have pieces. The result is timeless clothing and pure products with a natural touch of French chic. 


Over the seasons, the collections have been further developed and become more fashion-oriented. Today, the brand offers a comprehensive, multifaceted range of clothing that experiments with norms and dares to mix styles in order to appeal to every kind of personality.

Building on its success with womenswear, the brand launched its first men’s collection in 2008. In 2016 this was followed by a sports line and in 2017 a homeware line.

American Vintage is all about simplicity, sensuality, effortlessness and transparency. Pieces that suit all personalities, but whose details, tailoring, material, colours and prints are unique.
