TASTE MEETS TASTEFUL

As we all know, we eat with our eyes too – so here at Kantini, design lovers and architecture fans are served up an additional aesthetic feast alongside the food on their plates.

Designed and planned by Studio Aisslinger under the direction of Werner Aisslinger, the food market is an architectural gem in the heart of Berlin. The absolute highlight of the 1,800 m² space is the light-suffused loggia. With its huge panoramic window and direct views into the zoo, it exudes a light, bright and airy vibe that visitors love.

POP-UP? POP-APPETIT!

And of course we are also staying true to our pop-up concept when it comes to the food – because variety is the spice of life, after all!

A large bird aviary, as a design reference to the zoo opposite, regularly accommodates new eateries at food market stalls, who tantalise our taste buds with exciting innovations and specialities from the world of international cuisine.

Lu Kitchen

An explosion of flavour

1st floor

Bringing the taste of China to Berlin: with traditional baos and other Chinese delicacies, Lu Kitchen is inviting foodies on a culinary tour of China – right in the heart of the German capital.

Legend has it that bao buns were invented in the second century A.D. by military strategist Zhuge Liang and these days it’s difficult to imagine Chinese cuisine without them. With the arrival of Lu Kitchen, KANTINI is welcoming a specialist in these soft and fluffy buns made from a simple yeasted dough. Whether filled with mouth-watering marinated pork, beef, chicken or vegetarian options like tofu, the traditionally made Chinese baos are an absolute taste sensation. The pillowy buns are accompanied by other Chinese rice dishes and appetisers that perfectly round off the culinary experience and will whisk off fans of Chinese food to the tastes and traditions of the Land of the Red Dragon.
