In January 2017, work will begin on the construction of a new gastronomy hub at BIKINI BERLIN. On the first floor of the concept shopping mall, a modern food market with regional providers covering an area of 1800 m² is planned and expected to open in winter 2017/18.
Enthusiastic foodies can look forward to a new highlight in Berlin’s City-West: as well as a wide variety of fashion and design stores, BIKINI BERLIN’s food and drinks offer will be expanded with a newly designed food market. An area of 1800 m² will be playing host to a modern mix of established, regional food concepts that is new to the City-West. On the first floor in the west part of the concept shopping mall there will be space for up to ten food providers, ranging from fully-fledged restaurants to food vendors serving cold food offers. The necessary renovation work will begin in January 2017. An architectural highlight of the innovative food area will be a loggia with a second panorama window overlooking Berlin’s Zoo and its fascinating animal kingdom.
“BIKINI BERLIN represents an extraordinary concept and exciting innovations. With the development of our own food market, we’re not only extending our offer, but also hoping to impress our visitors with the huge variety. We’re looking forward to presenting a culinary destination, the likes of which has never been seen before, to our customers, as well as the residents and employees of the City-West,” says Antje Leinemann, Managing Director of BIKINI BERLIN.
The first talks with suitable providers have already been held. The opening of the food market is planned for winter 2017/18.
