The mix of new tenants at BIKINI BERLIN is just as colourful and vibrant as spring itself. Brand-new permanent additions and temporary pop-up boxes are enhancing the offer of the concept shopping mall with interior & design, food, fashion, beauty and art. “Our focus is on the overall visitor experience at BIKINI BERLIN. With our constantly changing pop-up concepts, art exhibitions and events in addition to out-of-the-ordinary new permanent tenants such as the mydays Race & Fly Experience, we are setting new trends and creating authentic experiences that help us stand out from the crowd,” explains Antje Leinemann, Managing Director at BIKINI BERLIN.
Since 1 March 2018, it has not only been possible to get an adrenaline rush at BIKINI BERLIN from shopping: on an area of 750m², visitors can enjoy the only mydays Race & Fly Experience in Europe on the 2nd floor of the mall with access to the rooftop terrace. And it’s making childhood dreams come true: now you can finally become a pilot or racing driver! Take off high into the skies before landing back at the destination airport in a replica cockpit of a Boeing 737 or Airbus 320. But if you feel more at ease on asphalt, you can speed along virtual curves in Formula 1 cars or real GT3 Audi and Porsche racing cars.
To get your pulse back to normal after all that excitement, Michelin-starred chef Björn Swansson is serving exclusive culinary delights in the restaurant “The DAWG”, which can be enjoyed with wonderful views of Berlin Zoo.
An o(h)de to marzipan: This new permanent tenant at BIKINI BERLIN is a 38 m² paradise for anyone with a sweet tooth. Ohde can already look back on a long tradition of making marzipan and, in cooperation with traditional company Moll & Lemke and master chocolate maker Sabine Dubenkropp, is now offering a variety of pralines from Berlin-Neukölln. And by purchasing their delicious creations, you are also doing a good deed as most of the proceeds go to social youth projects in the neighbourhood. In the production of these sweet treats, they attach great importance to design, quality and the purity of the ingredients. Ohde is also highlighting the fact that the trendy district of Neukölln has long since been home to creatives and culinarians and is also a real hotspot when it comes to the global production of marzipan. With numerous family-owned businesses, the district has been producing more marzipan than anywhere else in the world for 160 years. Ohde Marzipan opened its doors on the first floor of the concept shopping mall on 15 January.
On 19 February, new permanent tenant ABURY opened its premises on the first floor of BIKINI BERLIN, where it is selling sustainable products on an area of 62 m². Some of the profits are re-invested in education projects in Morocco, where ABURY also promotes additional educational and women’s projects.

The name N°Auga has a hidden meaning: the “N” stands for Nordic and “Auga” is an ancient Nordic word for eye. And the products by the Danish platform for design items are just as Nordic as its name. In their online shop they describe themselves in the same pragmatic way they design their furniture: “Without compromises and without frills.” And they refuse to make any compromises when it comes to the production either, which is carried out with a focus on transparent pricing in a small factory in Bavaria.
In their pop-up box on the ground floor, Fromme & Blum are also presenting their “Sweet Samurai” series that is also available online and is hard to beat in terms of modern minimalism.
“WRÅD is not a brand, it’s our call to action”. This is how the Italian founders of fashion label WRÅD describe themselves on their website. From 2 March until 30 May 2018, artist Christina Knobbe, who has lived in Berlin since 1982, will be setting up shop in a pop-up box at BIKINI BERLIN for the second time. In her temporary shop she is offering paintings, copper prints and ink drawings that have also been exhibited internationally. The themes of her artworks usually revolve around one central curiosity: life itself. The aspects of different stages of life are mysteriously depicted in a very honest and personal way. Her expressive and in part colourful pictures are all one-off pieces.
