The SLP Gallery was established by American art curator and gallery owner Sara Lily Perez. As well as promoting more inclusivity in art, Perez invites artists who provoke collaborative conversations surrounding society and environmental issues. This ensures that the gallery is not only a place to view art, but also provides food for thought and opportunities for networking.
Galerie SLP opened its doors at BIKINI BERLIN for the first time on 30 July 2021 with BREATHING WAVES, an interactive environmental exhibition about coral bleaching showing mesmerizing wearable sculptures by Central Saint Martins graduate and textile artist Paola Idrontino. According to Sara Lily Perez, the exhibition can be considered among the most poignant artistic and environmental fashion statements of 2021.
