Vera Kochubey’s art is a clash of pop expressionism, conceptual art, pop art and art brut. Inspired by New York in the 80s and artists such as Warhol, Basquiat and Haring, Kochubey works with vibrant colours and shapes, as well as powerful statements in black and white. Her artworks “are full of autobiographical, psychic and queer content” – captured in large-format, expressive paintings.
